ok so if you read my previous blog i was having troubles getting rid of braydens diaper rash and i found it weird that it was ONLY right around his wee wee and on his testicles. so i tried EVERYTHING....desitin, vaseline, ad&d, powder, EVERYTHING. and seriously, NOTHING was working. so i started to think about what all he was eating/drinking that could cause it. i knew it wasnt his food because hes been eating all those things and never had a problem before....it couldnt be his formula since hes obviously been drinking that since birth....so i quit giving him juice.....a few days later, WALLA!!!!! rash gone!!!! even though i mixed his juice with water, it must have been causing his pee to be too...ahh whats the word, acetic? and so i guess thats why it was ONLY around his wee wee because hes a boy so the way he pees i guess....and i kept his diaper changed CONSTANTLY and just couldnt understand what was going on....but just wanted to let everyone know its gone and it only left when i quit giving him juice!! how weird!!!

So glad to hear that icky diaper rash is gone. At Xavier's last appt his pediatrician said to not give him juice because it has no nutritional value and can lead to diabetes and obesity later. I had no idea it was that serious but needless to say, my lil man does not drink juice. I saw some flavored water for babies that I might try but I also was told not to give him water either. I still would feel better giving him the flavored water than the juice. Maybe u could try it also. Just a thought!
