31-8-2009 - half a year for my princess

My mood while writing this blog: happy

Jayde will be 6 months old tomorrow! WOW! There are a few things I cannot believe: 1. my daughter is half a year old, 2. i have kept a human life alive and healthy for half a year, 3. i committed to another person and have put that person first for half a year, and 4. i'm really a mommy (yes, sometimes it's still hard to believe). IDK if any of the rest of you feel like this...but i just feel great cuz my little mama is doing sooooo well and it's a nice feeling to be depended on and be able to come through every time. I couldn't imagine my life without her and i don't understand how any parent can go days without seeing his/her child or not work and sacrafice his/her butt off to provide for that child.

Okay, i went on a tangent, but here's the update on Jayde...she weighs 14.2 lbs. as of last Tuesday. She is eating cereal, oatmeal, fruit, veggies, and formula still (of course). She is so strong sitting up and pulling up into a standing position. She crawls and does this half crawl thing where she's standing but bent over on her hands and crawling that way. The pediatrician was sooooo shocked! Yeah, we had to visit the ped. last Tuesday for an eye thing (it was only a blocked tear duct). We go for her well visit, 6 month check up this Thursday.

Update on me and Jayde...her father is outtie again. He had her last Tuesday while she was sick and he wouldn't pick up his phone for about 4 hours. I was so upset cuz it was my first day back at work and he knew how stressed i was. But he was stressing me more cuz i couldn't find my baby. Finally he picks up his phone and as i'm questioning him he starts yelling at me, so i apologize. Later come to find out he took Jayde to the college campus where his girlfriend stays and he ignored my calls cuz he was with her (this was after he swore he wouldn't take Jayde around her until after i meet her, then he blew us off when we set up a time for all of us to meet...he had his mama call me and say that they weren't coming!). Anyways i told him since he couldn't be honest and couldn't pick up his phone and keep me informed he longer could have her by himself. He threatened to keep Jayde and not bring her back to me if i dropped her off with him again. So duh! I won't drop her off again, lol! We go to court next Tues. for child support and i'm glad! He hasn't even called... oh, and my sister was out buying Jayde cold meds at Wal Mart last night (yeah, Jayde has her first cold right now) and she saw Rol. She waved at him and he WALKED RIGHT PAST HER!!! Talk about immature and silly...oh well, my life has been fine and stress free without him. Jayde is at the home daycare everyday, i can afford it, she's safe and sound so i'm good!

Little update on me...i had date #2 with Lucas on Sat. night-Sun. (my sister kept Jayde overnight). We met just past Asheville. He paid for the room (2 beds like a gentleman should do), dinner, breakfast, and MY GAS! Yall, he makes me forget every worry in the world and is just so genuine. We spent Sat. night watching movies, TV, and talking...then after sleeping in and a late breakfast, it was over :(. However, we had our first kiss!!! Yeah, i'mma little schoolgirl again and it feels great! Work is going a little better and i'm able to spend more quality time with Jayde.

So all in all life's good...guess i'll talk at all of you ladies later!
