25-10-2009 - this was funny to me...and some questions

So I went to a gospel choir concert this evening at a local college with my cousin. I didn't know, but Roland's (BD) gf goes to that college and is a dancer in the gospel choir. Of course since she's messaged me on facebook I had just seen her pic and knew what she looked like...anyways, I saw her on stage dancing. Rol and I have actually been pretty cordial lately (not friendly, just cordial) and he always complains about how little time he spends with Jayde (he acts like he's soooo busy). I figured he'd be at the concert supporting his girl so I texted him and said "Where r u? R u here?" He answers, "I'm at my girl's house y wats up?" I explained that I was at the concert and his girl was on stage so I thought he'd be there and wanna hold Jayde. He just goes "Oooooh I'm not there." Then, I realized that he had said he was at her house and I'm like HUH??! So I texted him again and said "So, ur at her house and she's here dancing...??" He didn't say ANYTHING and it's been 3 hours. I'm laughing cuz it's like this dude NEVER stops lying! I don't even know why he would lie to me about where he is by saying he's at his girl's house. I also think it's funny (in a "I'm laughing to keep from fighting" way) that he complains about not spending time with Jayde, but he didn't ask about seeing her today. Yet, he had time to go see his girl...or whereever he was today when he was lying to me. He had the nerve to ask me today if Jayde ever wears the bracelet he got her. I'm thinking "no, cuz i'm about to pawn it so i can buy NECESSITIES that you seem to forget she needs while you're buying frivolous stuff like jewlery and sneakers." What I said was, "yeah, she wears it some...and you would see her wear it if you saw her more than once every other week for 2 hours right before bed." Seriously dude, what was I thinking when I slept with you??! Cuz right now he sounds really stupid!

On a better note, Jayde must be Miss Popular...she's got 3 birthday parties in the next month. It gets me kinda excited cuz it'll be her turn in 4 months! Am I crazy for already thinking about her 1st bday?? That's one of my questions...where are good places to have bday parties for that young? I don't think my apt. is big enough and I don't have any close fam nearby where I could use their houses.

Other two questions: 1. For those of you with black babies that have coarse hair...what do you put on it right now? I'm using hair lotion and a little grease, but idk if it's safe for Jayde only being (almost) 8 months. So what have yall used and how did it turn out for your little ones? 2. What kind of toys are good for 8-12 month olds? Jayde doesn't really have any toys at all. She has some hand-me-downs from her cousin, Eathan, but i haven't been able to afford anything new. I want to buy her ONE nice toy soon (before the holidays), but i want it to be something she'll enjoy cuz i can only afford one lol.

Last thing real quick...me and Lucas took a break. But, he called Thursday night and it's the same old stuff. I like him, he likes me, however the distance is too much. Lord, idk what we'll end up doing, but really how long can I go not having a true commitment?? It's already been going on 5 months...
