13-12-2009 - Cranky as hell... GrrrMy mood while writing this blog:
Grrr

WTF????? I feel like crap...2nd trimesters are supposed to be cake! Besides having allergy issues that I can take NOTHING for and not being able to breathe, I'm showing all of the signs of gestational diabetes and or preeclampsia... Really, 1 out of 3 can't be a normal pregnancy...really? Did I mention that bedrest is NOT an option. Sure I am capable of working from home but some angry strange little man in my department will complain that I'm getting special treatment so I won't be allowed. Oh and did I also mention that just in case I'm psychotic and actually don't have diabetes or BP issues, I've already been having contractions. Last time I was placed on modified bed rest at 17 weeks but I wasn't working then. Now we have a house, 2 kids etc and my paycheck is crucial. Seriously, what do people do in this situation, short term only covers 6 weeks full pay ... That won't take me very far won't even cover 8 weeks maternity leave for a c-section. Suggestions, anyone?

On a more positive note, it feels like the peanut is taking kickboxing classes in my belly... HUGE FAN!!!

Sorry you don't feel well. I have been sick for the past week and I know what you are going through. Just get as much rest as you can when you are not at work. I know it is easier said then done when you have two little ones but do your best. I hope you are feeling better soon.

Oh no. Healthcare really stinks. There should not be any way that you should have to worry about all of this, it is not helpful to your situation. I hope that you are feeling better soon. I had borderline gestational diabetes as well. Do you have Long term disability – could you just roll over to that? I hope things go better for you soon. Stupid Steelers, they really need to pull it out and win the last three for you!
