23-1-2010 - We're home SadMy mood while writing this blog:
Sad

Wow, what a trip! We all had the most amazing time. We stayed at a Make A Wish affiliation called Give Kids The World. They had gifts for both boys on our table every morning, took tons of pictures and gave them to us on a cd and just made them feel so special and it really helped us get our minds off of Christian's brain cancer diagnosis. I could literally write a book about all Give Kids The World had to offer (mandatory daily ice cream eating was one of my favorites).

We were given theses passes to use at all the parks to get us to the front of the lines so we didn't have to wait. It was so nice considering how strangely busy Disney was... It felt weird taking advantage of all they had to offer. Anytime someone recognized that we were a Make A Wish Family, we were given special treatment, it was awkward for Coleman and I but the kids really loved the attention. I'm just afraid that now, they will expect it.

I truly hope that none of you are ever in my shoes, but it is great to know that there are wonderful people out there who help kids like my Christian who have had a piece of their childhood taken away by sickness get a chance to gain some of that care free life back even if for a week.

Well fellow mama's, back to reality! Thank you all for the kind words, prayers and warm wishes. Christian had an amazing birthday!!

Oh, God bless you and your boys! I pray I never have to encouter anything like that. My lil mna will be born with Club Foot and I know if I have trouble getting him the care he needs, I can turn to March of Dimes. These programs are wonderful! So glad you guys had a great time!
