So odd, yesterday I re-enlisted... I never planned to re-enlist, not when I joined over 5 yrs ago... I was just going to join for one term, straighten up, gain some discipline, and get my G.I. Bill for college. Instead I met a great guy, married him 3 yrs ago, had a baby girl last yr, and now am planning another baby and signing up to stay in for another 5 yrs. My schooling has fallen behind, though I have taken classes here and there. I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up, lol, 5 yrs ago I thought I would (naturally!) have my life figured out by now.... Well, this may not be what i planned, but I wouldn't trade it for anything!

I'm impressed! :) I really don't know a lot of people that enlist for one term and then get out. Most of my friends that are enlisted end up doing it as a career and why shouldn't they? They're able to provide well for their families, they have the most secure job available, and most of the time they find a position doing something they enjoy. I think it's a great career option and kudos to you for having the courage to go down that path!

Thank you for reenlisting. That is something I could not do, but I am very thankful there are people like you who can and do for all of us! It sounds like you have a pretty good life. Maybe you grew up when you weren't looking :)
