My mood while writing this blog: hella mad

omg I dont know if u guys have seen my husband and children but..if not i have 2children whom ppl ask me all the time are they mixed because of their hair ...now me i love being afican american yes my great great grandma whom died when i was 11yrs old was creole and indian whom married my g-g grandfather whoms black man ...yes there is something eles in my bloodline but yes im african american as u can tell so is my husband...for some odd reason ppl always make suggestions" oh the daddy must be mixed" im like no my children are just black...now please dnt think im one of those ppl cuz im not i love all ppl no matter the color i dnt like other races i love them all i just dnt like when ppl think afican american babies cant have nice or good hair also..yes my babies hair is nice but..i dnt want them growing up looking down on they race becuz the color of their skin isnt white or below others becuz their not...the reason im so bothered about this is becuz im always with the kids and my husband isnt always with me so ppl see my kids n think punyah n imanie are middle eastern or mexican oh i get it all ...i never just get" aww so cute "minus the race ...

i was watchin the tyra banks show about ppl bleaching they skin n i was like these ppl need help..and also my in laws well his mother believe the lighter ur skin the bettetr n that hurts my heart my husband nd his brothers n sister all have the same mother n father n my husband is darker compared to his sister n his brothers and to me his mom treat him bad becuz of that n i dont want that type of stuff rubbing off on my kids and speaking of darkk his mother is a lil darker than me n my kids get treated bad becuz of them being darker than the rest of their cousins only thing they notice on my kids is they soft hair..awww...not how my son can speak korean and french not that just his hairs im soo sick of ppl making comments as if black isnt a beautiful thing and excuse me guys im just sick of all this ..i just feel wateva race u are be proud and love urself

I know this post was added a few years back, so if a solution has come about- I'm glad. I'm sorry that you have to go through that with your mother in law, and fighting so hard to over-come a stereotype. But I agree with the other girls- you hit it right on the nose- there's not any specific race that's better, or just because your kids have nice hair they must be mixed...honestly- in my opinion- there are things in life much more worthwhile for other people to worry about than the race of your child...I always try to handle situations in a humorous way- so If people asked I'd just start saying something that's so far off the wall, they just stand there looking like an idiot, going...."huh"?

Gurl u hit it on the nose. This has bothered me for a long time now. I soooo dislike ppl who worship the ground "light skin" ppl walk on. Like they're so much betta. Ppl claim they're black and proud but i think actually they're ashamed b/c if u werent ud c all skin colors as beautiful. Im a dark complected woman and i luv my skin color. Not now b/c of all the chemicals ive put in my head has damaged my natural hair texture but when i was born and growin up until about 12 i had beautiful jet black litely waved hair, and my lil sister chynah has thick long curly hair & now so does my 1 year old son. And it does kill me that ppl automatically think sum1 gotta b mixed w/ sumthin b/c they hair is good. I have a best friend that is white and she irritates the hell outta me b/c she always think sum blk person must b mixed if they have gewd texture hair or if its curly she says frizzy she make me wanna say (b*tch do u even knoe what u're talkin about)? Ugh!! Ppl like that jus make me wanna scream loud BLACK & PROUD no mixture!! Theres white ppl who have thee most fried, thin looking hair. Yea i definitely feel u.. Ugh!!

It is so sad and frustrating that people have such misconception about skin color! People always want something else than what they are or have. I think you and your family are beautiful. The world would be extremly boring to have only one type of people in it.
