| 19-8-2009 - Hospital appointment | My mood while writing this blog:Happy, at rest |
Well yesterday i had my first appointment at the hospital. Because i am doing shared care most of my appointments are with my doc rather than the hosp. The appointment was very long just going through all the paperwork, getting my bounty bag etc. Got to hear the baby's heart beat woo! I asked her about feeling flutters as early as 10 week's and she said this is very possible, that lot's of women do with their second or more baby.
We also got to put to rest the unsureness of what actually happened when my son Maison was born. We never seemed to get the whole story explained to us it was always we think it could have been this or maybe this but no definate answers. When he was born (at 37+6) very shortly afterwards he was taken away from us because his temp was down but whilst he was in the nursery he stopped breathing twice and ended up getting transferred to Flinders Medical Centre with serious breathing complications and ended up on a respirator for a while :(. We always thought that it was because they left me for so long with my waters broken (26 hours) and sent me home to a non sterile environment. She told us that his lung's were under developed and he simply just wasn't ready yet. I feel much better knowing that there is nothing that we or the hospital could have done to help this.
