31-8-2009 - OUCH!!

My mood while writing this blog:
Relieved

Just a warning ladies and Gents this may be a little TMI for some people so just beware.

Well today was a very interesting day for us. Jamie ring's me and tell's me he's on the way to the hopital coz he shot a nail through his finger with a nail gun aaaahhhhhh!

Poor baby was in sooo much pain :( He couldn't get into surgery til about 5 hours later so he was stuck with this nail and piece of wood attached to his finger for ages sorry if it's (TMI). They were worried that the nail had gone through bone and that he might need plastic surgery or even worse lose the tip of his finger. They were also worried about the glue from the nail being stuck to the bone and causing infection.

Anyway he is out of surgery now and they removed the nail (also the fingernail coz it went right through the middle of it) and everything seem's to be ok, he's gotta stay in over night but hopefully pick him up 2 moro.

WOW that is horrible and I am glad he got to keep his finger! I cannot believe he had to wait so long...I would have worried to death. I am glad everything worked out!

OMG!! how awful!! I am glad everything turned out okay!! I cringed at the thought and how much pain he must have been in!! Hope he has a quick recovery!

OMG, thankfully it wasnt worse! Although I am sure with that amount of pain, nothing could have seemed much worse at that moment. My step-dad cut his leg open with a skilsaw, just missed the major artery, my husband has done his share of damage, along with my uncle and brother in law, so I know what you are going through. Glad everything is ok and wishing him a speedy recovery:-)

omg how painful that must have been. poor man. i hope he's ok. i went through my dad putting his hand through a table saw when I was younger & him yelling & screaming & seeing the blood all over. he had to hose it off it was that bad!! So i know the pain you can go through with that stuff. then my brother had to have a medal rod put through his finger to hold the tip on his because of sawing it off at work. Now my neighbor's son just sliced his finger off (mind you with a lawn chair of all things) & broke it in 3 places. so now he can't skateboard or do anything. he's so mad. glad to hear he's going to be ok though. that's always a blessing!! you always have to be thankful that things weren't worse though they could have been. hope he makes a fast recover :)
