01-2-2010 - 36 + 5 week hospital check up

My mood while writing this blog: happy

So today i had my check up at the hospital. Firstly did my strep b swap (easy, piece of cake). Then i met with the ob. She did my bp and it was a little high 140/70. Normally it is around 110-115/60 ish.

Next she felt my tummy and said Riley's head is way down 4/5 engaged and that his head was not really moving much so he's pretty settled down there, she said she thinks i will be having him early :)

Listened to the heart beat and it was racing (because he was kicking around). Once he stopped moving it slowed down again to normal. I sat up and she tested my bp again and it was still the same so i have to go back in 3 days to get it checked again. She also sent me for some bloods and a urine sample to check to make sure nothing is going on.

I asked if she would check for dilation or effacement yet. She said if it was 2 day's later ( me being 37 weeks) and if i felt like something was going on down there then she would have but she can't any time before 37 weeks ( i missed out by 2 day's oh well, maybe they will check me on friday).
