02-10-2009 - weird pains scaredMy mood while writing this blog:
scared

Before I rose this a.m. I felt theses sharp pains deep inside my uterus where baby might be. I was sleeping on my left side most of the night and maybe my belly was hanging down in that position to long w/ no support pillow under it. I don't have a belly support pillow. It scared the crap out of me so I flipped over to my right side and it still hurt inside. I started to get sharp pinches on my cervix opening too. So then I freaked out and laid on my back, it went away, so I fell a sleep for another hour. When I woke up I felt back to normal and then started walking around and I got a sharp pain on the top of my uterus up high, below my breast. I was like what the heck is going on? Any body have similar aches from sleeping ? Maybe I do need a belly support pillow? I pray that's all it is.

Hi mama, me too. And they went away with the support pillow. I bought one at Maternity theme (I believe the stores are also in the USA, if not originally from there) for $14. However, a friend of mine, mother of two told me she felt these pains with her second baby, and her doctor explained it is part of the uterus grow and adjustment. Hope you are feeling better by now :)

Yes I too have had those sort of pains. They feel like contractions almost. My doctor said they are completely normal. One night I had them so bad I was doubled over. Took some Tylenol and they calmed down. I agree though, check with your doctor to be sure.

Was this pain in your uterous similiar to a "stitch-like pain"?? If so, completely normal. I have experienced pains in my privates (I've been told it's perfectly normal). But, better be safe then sorry (visit your doctor or midwife).
