21-9-2009 - still scard and confussed

My mood while writing this blog: scard

so I went to the ER and didn't get to see my OB but the ER doctor was really understanding and did another TV ultrasound but it was a portable one and the picture was not as clear as it was at my OB's office this morning we did see the baby and the heart beating but the ER doctor said he was concerned because it was a "slow" rate. My OB didnt tell me this morning what the rate was and didnt say it was slow. They did my HCG tonight at the ER and it was only 4 thousand and some...also Low... 16 days ago my HCG was 745. I dont know what to think the ER doctor did an pelvic exam and siad my cervix is closed. But he said he is concerned and is worried that this is heading to a M/C he also said he may be wrong and maybe my HCG is just on the low-normal side and that the baby is just sleeping and that makes the heart look slower but he said he didnt want to give us false hope because he fears it is going to end in m/c. Im home in bed now still bleeding and completly scard and confussed and Im going to try to sleep and call my OB in the morning....

i amn going through the same thing as u.i started to bleed on sunday nite it was heavy and i passed few clots myself. my dh took me to ER. they did the bloodwork and had an U/S which showed a fetal pole but no heartbeat and the doc told me my hcg level is and it is a the right level for my pregnancy. He did a pelvic exam and the cervix is closed. i had another HCg done today and will get the results on monday. the bleeding has stopped and i was having brown spotting but that stopped too. i can see a little blood when i wipe other than that im gud.I am also on bedrest for a week. And i hope everything goes well for you. and do not stress over it. stressing is bad for u and the baby. baby dust to u.

((((BIG HUG)))) I know how stressful it is, I am still spotting too! I wish there was something we could do! But rest assure that baby is alive and the heart is beating, and honestly at this early the heartbeat is going to be pretty low. Also remember the ER doctor does not specialize in this field like your OB does and he may have not been able to read the heartbeat as well as your doctor with the different ultrasound. I know all of this is hard, but try to hang in there and think positive!
