09-10-2011 - Madison 2 week update!

My mood while writing this blog: So in love!

Well Madison is now 2 weeks old! in the past few weeks we have just been moving, like literally the day after i got out of the hospital we had to move all our stuff to the new house, and i felt very overwhelmed and cried a lot... not because of madison being overwhelmed, just the fact that i had just given birth and i just wanted to sit around and relax but we had to move and such. thank goodness i have such an amazing husband and such amazing friends because robert and our friends came and helped out a lot while i was able to take a night of rest. anyways, now we are in our new house and almost fully unpacked. its so much bigger which is so much better for the dogs... they have a yard now which they LOVE, we put them out there in the morning and don't hear from them til dinner time and they come and pass out right away, im not sure if we would have kept all of them if we had stayed in our small place with no yard with a new born. Madison is such a great baby. She only wakes up 2 times a night, mainly to be either fed or changed, then goes right back asleep. although lately we have been having to wake her up to clear her nose of congestion. apparently it’s not a cold, just something some newborns get. She smiles and makes the cutest noises... she does this one noise when she sees Robert or i that sounds like “ahhh” its cute and high pitch lol. and she sometimes does it just when she hears our voice! She is holding her head up for a long time now when we have her on our chest, and tries to suck on our cheeks... well she sucks on my cheek, she chooses to suck on Robert's nose lol her own little way of giving us kisses. Breast feeding is going well, except for the infection i got... but now im almost fully recovered. i love what it is doing for my body and everything it gives madison. The baby weight has pretty much been just falling off! i’m about to pass my weight that i was when i got pregnant ( i was not in the best shape) but now my tummy is pretty flat and my clothes are fitting so loosely.... i think after the new year i’ll be going on a shopping spree! lol. ill take a picture later of my after baby body and you all can see the progress! And i love that with breast feeding you can still kinda cheat on the diet part, since you are burning so many calories! so i’m loving the breast-feeding/pumping! plus if it makes you lose this much weight while sitting around healing up, i cant wait to see how much i lose once i’m clear to work out after 6 weeks!

Other than that, not much has been going on here, the weather went from being 98 degrees to about 55 degrees so that was a nice change. Madison is gaining weight, im losing weight so its all good :) cant wait to plan our thanksgiving trip back home to my parents house! i haven't been there since feb. then we still need to figure out what we are going to do for christmas time!
