26-7-2008 - Pregnancy Update 29 Weeks

To start off with, I have finally done something Ive wanted to do for 3 years now, Quit smoking! Its been almost a month now since Ive even smelled a cigarette. I feel like Im finally a good mother-to-be. I tried time and time again, and something would always set me over the edge and Id cheat and take a drag. Jack is the healthiest little baby ever now. My doctor is having me track his movement and she said it should take an average of 30 minutes for him to make 10 movements or kicks. It takes him roughly between 3 or 5 minutes to do atleast 10. I love feeling him kick! My little brother is 13, and is so afraid of my belly button, and the fact that the baby moves all the time. Funny part of that, the baby loves to hear my brothers voice, so as soon as he talks, he starts kicking and rolling and hiccupping.(sp?) I was hooked up to a fetal heart monitor and asked to press a button every time he moved. In 30 minutes of monitoring he moved atleast 90 documented times. Baby shower is in the works, and my moms planning it. I hate not being involved in the planning of things, I feel so useless. I plan on sending out 30 invitations atleast. How many is everyone else sending out?

U R A Rockin Cig-Free Chica, Ive been workin on my Best friend forever she is over a pack a day YIKES!!!! Ur eyes are so freakin goregouslucky bambino lol. How r u feeling? Ive just started pilates and only have 10 more pounds to lose thank the lord lol. I wont even admit how much I gained lol. Have fun at ur shower I had a blast at mine, but of course the mini control freak in me wouldnt allow anyone else plan it but me lol. I planned and mom and sis helped. Be sure not to register at freakin target they dont let u return anything w/o a receit (sp?)

Congrats on becoming on quitting nicotine; I know that had to be a real struggle, so yay! For my baby shower, I gave my sis-in-law 26 names, then remembered eight or nine other ladies I'd forgotten. So I invited them, too. All told, 22-23 people showed up! Good luck with yours; mine was just last weekend.
