18-6-2008 - I had a scare 6/17/08

My mood while writing this blog: relieved

Okay so I went to the Dr. yesterday (6/17/08) because I was having cramping pains in my lower abdomen. He did a regular pelvic exam and tried to find a heartbeat. He couldn't find a heartbeat but he said it might of been to early to hear on the doppler. Anyways, when he did the pelvic exam he was feeling my Uterus and said that the left side felt larger than the right side. He told me I needed to go to the hospital to get an ultrasound. When I asked him what that meant he said that it might be a ecotopic pregnancy (tubal baby) and they would have to keep me there and remove it.

I cried all the way to the hospital. Justin and my mom met me there. The ultrasound tech couldn't find anything on the tummy ultrasound so they did a vaginal. As soon as she inserted it she said,"there is baby!" I jumped up to look at the screen because I was just waiting the whole time for them to tell me the baby is in my tubes and I would have to stay there. When I looked at the screen I had so much joy that they baby was in the right spot and fine. She measured baby and I am exactley 8wks and 6 days now. Due Jan 22nd!

I can't express how excited I am that they baby is ok. They checked everything out even my kidneys and couldn't find anything so Dr. said it is just probably normal pregnancy pains and that they are sending my culturals out to the lab to make sure there is no type of infection.

Justin and I are thrilled to be having this second baby! Everything is ok! YAY!!!!
