16-12-2008 - BitterSweet Dr. Appt. 12/15/08

My mood while writing this blog: Very Very Excited!!!

I went to the dr. yesterday. It was a bittersweet appt. My dr. was diagnosed with Prostate cancer which is unusual because he is only 38 yrs old. They usually don't even check for this in males until 50 unless otherwise requested. Since he works with the hospital all were requested to get checked. He tested positive so that is the bitter part. He has to have surgery on the 20th of Jan (so he will be ok). My due date is Jan 22nd. So..... he gave me the option. I can go my full term and have another dr deliver me or the weekend of the 9th I can pick which day I can be induced, which is the sweet part!!! He also checked me and I am 2cm dilated already. He said at the rate I am going he might just be able to break my waters and I can let my body do it's own thing. So... If I don't go into labor before then Justin and I decided to go into the hospital that Sunday 1-11. Ashlynn Rose will more than likely be here that day. We are very excited.

That's crazy your Dr got Prostate cancer and my Dr got some kind of cancer in her female organs and had to have an emergency hysterectomy...But mine didn't work out as well as yours because she was immediately off work when they found hers so I was forced to have another Dr. I see the bitter sweet side of your story definitely.

wow brill news for you wish the uk doctors would let us go early there just no interested in this country they want us all to go full term then wont even think of inducing us untill 14 days later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ahhhhhh ,

but congrats to you, you must be so excited i would be x
