Hey everyone! Well... I only have about 3 more weeks left. This pregancy has gone by so fast it seems until now. It just seems as though the weeks are dragging by because I am so anxious to meet our lil angel. I cannot freaking wait!!!

I'm having mixed feelings about how the birth of this one is going to go. With my son he was one week over due weighing 7lbs 15.8oz and I did that birth all natural. I hoped to do this one the same but with this pregnancy I have been sick from the beginning then I was on bedrest now I have been having severe pain a lot of pelvic pressure, I cannot sleep. My hips are so sore especailly at night. So it makes me wonder how different the birth of Ashlynn will be.

I have been having a lot of braxton hicks and like I said a lot of pressure. I am scheduled to be induced on the 11th of Jan unless she comes first otherwise. With as much pain as I have been having I don't know what to expect but I guess we shall see!!!

All in all I am very excited to meet my lil angel and I will try to do an all natural birth again. If not, I guess I will have my first epidural. What about the catheter? When do they put that in and take it out? Does it hurt? My son is also very excited to meet Ashlynn. I wanted to do the sibling classes but they haven't had one for some time. I don't know if we will make one. I just want my son to kinda know what to expect and I really want to prevent as much jealousy as I can. Any suggestions?

I am still nesting like crazy... I hate it. I want everything washed and it its place before she gets here. If I go until the 11th. That weekend I will be busting my bootay getting everything re-washed that I already washed 3 times. hehe. I just can't wait for my baby to be here, to see what she looks like, to see how she will act, and for Mason to finally have his sister. He has been being so patient God bless him.

If you're getting induced then you'll probably want the epi! I went natural with my daughter but with my son I was induced and thought I would get the epi ready but try not to use it. OMG the petocin mad the contractions so painful. I couldn't do it. My mum and DH were crying for me!!

As for sibling jealousy, there are lots of books out there that talk about "I'm not the baby anymore" or "Will there be a lap for me" etc. I've used those on both my kids.

Why are you being induced early?

Well with our daughter they did the catheter at about 7-8 cm AFTER the epid. You wont even feel it if thats the way they go.

As of sibling classes....I didnt have our daughter do any but I have had her involved from the moment we became pregnant. She goes with me to all appt's. she helps with his room, she talks with him etc....we actually talk as if he is here. We call him his name and everything. That has seemed to help quite a bit...she hasnt shown ANY signs of jealousy at all. Weve even talked about me at the hospital , whats gonna happen etc. Weve just kept it in "her age" context. Hope that helps..it has helped us.

hey :o) im having my second as well. not sure about the sibling jealousy thing but we have been having dj hold a baby doll to get used to being around a baby. not the same but it's all we could think of. as for the inducement and epidural and all... i was induced last time and from what i understand being induced is more painful than going natural... as in the contractions are stronger and more painful. i got an epidural, and i was required to have a catheter just before they did the epidural. it did hurt a bit being put in. i dont know if its cuz the lady just kinda sucked at it or what. it felt kinda like a cross between hitting your funny bone real hard and that sharp shootin pain that some of us have been getting down there. it only hurts for a second though. as for taking it out... i didnt even know when they took it out. the nurse told me i needed to try and use the bathroom and i asked why lol. i thought it was still in. oh and a bit of advice lol... when you first get out of bed if you get the epidural... go slowly lol. i wasnt trying to run or anything but i about fell on my face lol cuz my legs were still a little numb haha. luckily i had a big nurse and she caught me. anyway...good luck either way it happens! im sure you know it will all be worth it.
