First of all, I want to say sorry I can't get on here much anymore. I feel sooooo busy. Some of the reason is because I can barely leave the living room.

Ashlynn has jaundice her highest level point was 16 3 days ago it was at 13. They prescribed her a billa light which she has been on for 8 days now. This is so frustrating to me because I can't walk around with her at all. I am breastfeeding and feed like every 2 hrs or more so I am constantly on the couch. I am doing what I can to get through this. Not just that every day I have to drive her to the hospital to get her foot pricked so they can check her levels. It is so heartbreaking to watch her go through that.

It just all seems so bad because ever since I got this light (last wed) they said it should only be a few days. It's been 8 so far. My dr is also on leave for 5 wks so I am dealing with the other dr in his office and it is sooo hard to get answers out of everyone. I can't wait for this to be over. I hope soon she will be off the light and I can at least visit different rooms in the house and walk around with her.

I'm not suffering from the jaundice but I am suffering from the couch syndrome! LOL. I have my "mommy station" set up. Cords running everywhere to the laptop, breast pump, phone charger... I have the remotes and boppy pillow and bouncy set all close by. It's crazy. I'm trying to enjoy the journey. The only way my little one can sleep is on my chest. I need to break her of that so I can have a life. Shes' only 6 days old tho. =)

I hpe the jaundice improves quickly so you can get off the couch. =)

Teddy had jaundice for a month! They said breastfed babies who have jaundice have it longer than normal.....He is doing fine now! I know it is tough but it will get better!!!

IM SO SORRY TO HEAR HUN,MY LITTLE ONE ALSO DEVELOPED JAUNDICE AND HER LEVEL POINT IS 12.WHEN ME AND HER WERE BOOKED OUT TUESHDAY I GOT TESTED FOR MY IRON LEVELS AND SHE GOT TESTED FOR JAUNDICE AND HER LEVEL WAS 5,SO IT WENT UP 7 POINTS.SHE GOT BOOKED INTO HOSPITAL AND IM WITH HER NOW.SHE MAY BE HERE FOR 3 DAYS:-(.I WISH U AND UR ANGEL THE BEST OF LUCK.
