30-11-2009 - Update on Carter

Well, I had another ultrasound last Wednesday. Carter is a whooping 5.5 lbs!! That's 3 weeks ahead of schedule weight wise. However, the length of his body is on target, but the tape measurement part is 2 weeks ahead. He's still breech/transverse. As of now they are still keeping the date of January 8th for the c-section... if I wasn't haven't one, they would look at moving up the date.

I did get a lecture about my weight... I've been losing again, which I wonder how that's possible considering the size of the baby. My GERD has been killing me though where I can't even sleep and sometimes when I do, I wake up choking. The doc wants me to continue on my protonix, but also added zantac twice a day and tums as needed. I'm on day 2 of that and I'm still not feeling a difference, hopefully I will by tomorrow.

I'm having VERY strong contractions too. I don't remember them being this strong with Liam, but by this time with him, I was in the hospital and if I had the least little braxton hicks, I'd get a shot to stop it. I wish I could tell my body that there's no since in having these "practice" contractions, since I'm having a c-section. :)

Anyhoo. I haven't been blogging much with this pregnancy and I don't want little Carter to feel left out.
