19-12-2009 - Another update from the hospital bed

My mood while writing this blog: EXTREMELY BORED!!

I got an update on more lab test. I still have some bacteria in my lungs even after 2 rounds of a zpak and IV antibotics. Whatever this is doesn't want to die!!! They are continuing the same IV antibotics and are waiting to start lowering my IV steriods. My potassium is off, but they aren't too worried. They did run some labs for my kidneys because of the results of my blood work. Everything was fine there, they believe the numbers are off because my body is fighting this nasty infection.

My hubby, son, and mother are now sick and on antibotics as well. They are staying home, so I'm VERY lonely and bored here. My son decided to spit kool-aid on my labtop at home, so I'm now borrowing the hospital's. There's only 1 and there is a 2 hour limit... but at least it's something.

I'm not sure when I will get to go home. I kind of wish they would just take the baby since he's 36.5 weeks and these steriods definitly help with his lung development... but also know with this infection, they are don't want to because I have to have a c-section. I hate thinking about coming back to the hospital for a third time during this pregnancy!! I'm sorry to complain.... I really just want the best for my baby and me... I think I'm just going mad in this hospital room.... OH... did I mention, I'm in the same room I was in 2 years ago when I was hospitalized for preeclampsia and asthma. Now that kind of makes me chuckle.
