| 02-11-2009 - 8 months n movin! | My mood while writing this blog:pretty good, tired |
Hi Ladies!
My sweet baby Isaiah Nathaniel has been moving more now at 8 months old. Gone are the days of sitting and playing and not getting into mischief! Last week in the morning I was downstairs whe I heard a very loud "BOOM!" I cringed knowing it couldn't be the cat ( as he has never been that loud and was in my eye sight) Running up the stairs I could hear my baby crying.. ( probably had the wind knocked out of him thus the delay) So yes ~ He decided to flip out of his crib! (mommy and daddy had thought we lowered it many weeks ago! Guess not --- Big mistake)
Amazing enough he was not hurt!~ Praise God! So onto lowering the crib - quite the job alone! ( Had to use a box of diapers underneath the frame to hold it up) In the process I managed to rip his bedskirt - ugg... While this ordeal of working on his bed I had the door closed to trap him in with me and keep him from falling down the stairs! Still not so safe as he started playing with the door spring and got a hold of the little rubber stopper at the tip and into the mouth with out me noticing till I heard him gagging/choking. Wow, they are fast! ....I'm thankful to have a safe place like an exersaucer to put him in occasionally. So yes, between our eventful day and the typical pulling himself up on everything unsafe, wanting to play with the stereo, and any and every cord, finding all small items possible to put into his mouth, trying to climb up on our kitchen chairs we are staying very busy! And mom is close to a heart attack!
I still love the nursing moments that he cuddles up and looks at me touching my face and hair. He is so fascinated with my mouth as well as everyones!! He is putting his hands in there all the time. ( trying to pick up every germ I guess..) Praying and hoping for good health! Our daughters had the H1N1 (oldest had been pretty sick) and he didn't seem to get sick so that again I have to praise God for!
At 6 months he had his 1st modeling job! ( 3 babies in a bath tub of suds) Of all things it was an add for almonds - too funny how advertising is these days. :-) Now today at 8 month he just had his 2nd job! It was for Target, the baby registry if they pick from one of his shoots that is. I was proud of him as he had to be away from me at times and smile for strangers. So many gorgeous babies out there so it was a privaledge to be selected for the job~ It was a fun experience .. make up, hair, and being waited on with about 5 people viewing the shots as they took. We are home safe and sound and we made it! Even though I was a nervous wreck driving us downtown in the morning, being prepared, etc... It would be fun to be called back but guessing it is unlikely cause the shoot has been over a month and we were choosen at the tail end.
He is such a good baby - I love him so much!!! Cuddle time is the best! I just wish he wasn't squirming away to crawl or stand with support as often. I guess it makes me savor the quiet soft cuddle times we have all the more!!!
Love and kisses to you and your LO's!!!!!! XOXOXO
