19-7-2009 - 3 months!!

My mood while writing this blog:
very happy

Well my baby is 3 months old today!! I can't believe how big she is getting, she HAS to be about 15 lbs. She made a few milestones this week, she can hold on to a rattle, and yesterday she gave mommy a little chuckle! She has been trying to laugh for about 2 weeks now, and they only came out as a cough, but I actually heard laughter! She is so sweet, and a total mommy's girl! I think I will be getting my IUD removed in Sept. I just don't like it, the irregular bleeding, DH can feel the string during "you know what", and I just don't like stuff that messes with your natural system. I think maybe I will just invest in ovulation strips, and chart my cycle and just go with the natural method. Has anyone tried natural birth control before? If you have some input would be greatly appreciated. Well nursing has gone down to about once or twice a day. It is purely for pacifying, I have hardly anything in these droopy boobs of mine. They don't fill at all, so I don't even think I will have to go through the uncomfortable drying up phase. I talked to the pediatrician, and told her my problems with an unhappy baby, and how when I would pump both breast for 10 minutes each, I would get less than 1/4 oz.! She said not to feel bad, that I gave her a good 2 months start. I've had people tell me to just keep trying, and that it is impossible to not make enough milk. Ladies, DO NOT LISTEN TO THAT! It is total BS. I had two babies before that I nursed for a year and a half each, I think I know what I'm doing. I don't know if it was the combination of exhaustion and stress or whatever, but I did not produce enough for my Lily to be satisfied. I think the problem started with my milk coming in a lot quicker and stronger from the time Lily was born (due to me nursing not long before she was born), and when my milk supply went down to the amount I had with my other babies,(I've never had a big milk supply), it just wasn't enough for my big girl. The pediatrician told me since she was a big baby when she was born, she might require more than I had to give. SOOOO,......... anyways, that was just me venting. Things are okay around here, business is still not going well, but school is going great! Tired of being poor, but looking forward 2 years from now, when I guess I can bring home the bacon. LV2BAMOMMY, 4 days left!! I will be thinking of you and sending lots of prayers your way! I can't wait to see pictures of your little miracle!!

You are brave trying the natural method! lol I know i would defintily fail so i have opted for something called an Implanon rod which is inserted into your arm. it is left in there for up to three years, you can take it out at any time and be fertile again within days. ive had it in for a week now and so far so good!
thats so cute about your baby girl laughing... i cant wait to get the giggles from Kyelah. shes 9 weeks now and coos and smiles but im still holding out for giggles. xx

Well I'm just going to say that I use the "natural method" of birth control and it works for us great... with the understanding that it's not 100%, but either way I think it's a method we prefer being that I have issues with BC... however, I have not tried the IUD and was thinking about it and now I'm not so sure, you are definitely not the only one to complain about it, so maybe I will pass! Oh and by the way I'm with you all the way with the milk supply, with all 3 of mine it was a small supply, wasn't able to bf my eldest daughter (2 weeks was all I could make it) I went for only 6 weeks with my older son and with Ethan (my newest) I barely had any supply at all... probably had about as much during pumping as you had (1/4 ounce), likely stress related no doubt! I was sick from my UC and Ethan was born early & in the NICU for 3 weeks so it was a very crazy time... I was so upset that I couldn't atleast feed him a little from the breast especially since he was preterm but they finally advised me to go formula because of my meds I take for the UC (which are pretty much the same as asprin). Wow I find I can relate to your blogs!!! Anyway I hope you had a great weekend! :) ~Smiles~
