My mood while writing this blog: Relaxed |
We had a Dr. appt. today! Don't know how much weight I've gained because I told the nurse to keep it to herself! I had the strep B test done and it didn't hurt at all. My cervix is CLOSED as in I'm NOT dilated! She told me she felt his head and that he was becoming engaged. Everything else was just peachy!
I took my final exam tonight for my night class so I'm one more class closer to being certified! YAY! Now the baby can come and not affect school or anything else!
I am a tad irritated with people I work with. I wore a yellow shirt today and more than one person made comments like, "I need my sun glasses, the sun is out!" Or... "No one told me today was beach day I would have worn my swim suit." To me it's just mean and uncalled for. It hurt my feelings. Not to mention my boss told me today that she got a resume that would be perfect for my position. I told her if it would make her better to fire me than to go right on ahead and do it because I certainly don't want to go my whole maternity leave worrying if I have a job or not. To me that's just bull. Of course she was joking, but this is not the first time she mentioned if I was coming back after the baby! I mean I carry the health insurance and half of the income, I need my job more than ever. Maybe she just thinks I'm going to drop them like a hot potato once I get a job at the school...and you know what, if they keep it up, I will! I was so upset when I left for my appt. I cried all the way there I thought my bp would be up but it was perfect! Well with school out of the way I can relax more and enjoy these last few weeks without worrying about writing lesson plans....blahhhh! I hope you all are enjoying your week!!
XOXO

Thursday, 4 Dec Eh...don't let them get to you. I work with all men...it can't get any worse than that! lol But I know what you mean by the income and the health insurance...it's such a burden when you're trying to just enjoy your new baby, and concentrate on your on health. But I'm glad to hear you & baby are doing great. Keep in touch! :o) ~amy~ -
Thursday, 4 Dec ugh I'm sorry they were so rude to you.. and your boss needs to shove it lol how could she say something like that to you? Perhaps next time she makes a comment about replacing you you should tell her that you have a good friend who knows a labor law attorney that eats mean bosses for dinner.. haha :)
Glad your appointment went well! mrswood -
Thursday, 4 Dec People are so mean and inconsiderate. I hate hearing about all the things you ladies who are working have to go through. I wish everyone could just stay at home like we all used to. I'm glad everything looks good and that you are done with school. Man, work, school, and baby? I had no idea you were working so hard! Amazing. What are you studying to be? xoxo Kara G. -
Thursday, 4 Dec Hey Rosa...sorry you had such a weird day. Yah, it would annoy me too if people made stupid remarks about the yellow shirt like that. Some people are so insensitive and dumb. Also, your boss...WOW! I would have had to bite my tongue really hard not to put her in her place. Not sure if I could have. I had a crappy boss when my son was born who just didn't understand parenting and all that sort of stuff. It sucks when you don't have a compassionate boss.
