25-1-2009 - Breast Feeding anyone?

Hey girls just a quick question.... Is anyone else breast feeding? If so, have you experienced this.... I feel like every time I put my bra on with the breast pads my breast sting or itch.... Do you think its a reaction to the pads or what? So far now, as the men like to call it, I guess I'll "free ball" it...lol any help at all would be appreciated! Yes I use lansinoh lanolin cream and I'm pumping a few times a day. The feeding or pumping doesn't hurt, it's just the storing of my boobs hurt... :(

My boobs did the same thing girl. And I have NO idea why! I breast fed and pumped for 4 months.... it was the biggest accomplishment of my life! LOL! But totally worth it! :)

I have had that problem! I was using the Lansinoh breast pads because I use the cream by them.. but switched to the Avent pads which are SO much softer! Also with the itching make sure that you change the pad out often if it is getting wet. I leak ALOT and was getting irritated right under the nipple because I wasn't changing the pad out enough! Also make sure that the bra is a little big.. I've found out that buying it a bit bigger makes it fit a little more comfy with the pads in it otherwise it feels too tight when I put the pads in. Hope this helps!

As of right now I'm not breastfeeding, but after I give birth last year, I honestly never had any problems with the types of nursing pads, so I don't know. Sorry I can't be of some help to you. Try calling your doctor maybe?

you could be reacting to the pad... now that we have feeding down better I quit wearing them because I kept throwing away dry pads cause it said you shouldn't wear them more than a few days.. go get cloth ones and just wash them when you do baby clothes [thats what I plan on doing] and I'll only wear them when I go somewhere and want to make for damn sure I wont leak! cause it doesn't matter if I am protecting my clothes I wear at home since they get spit up on usually... so yeah.. thats what I'd do, I think a lot of my pain with before was because of my skin not liking the pads...
