07-9-2009 - Hospital Appointment Tomorrow

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

My have things changed in the past 20 years. My OB Doc told me that he recommends all of his high risk patients to the Maternal Fetal Medicine Doctor. Well, tomorrow is my first appointment with the MFM Dr at the hospital. I have no idea what to expect except beyond a very extensive ultrasound. A friend of mine who is much younger but had a previous still birth experienced this and raved at how advanced the scan was. She said she could see the baby's heart and other organs in detail. She's a nurse and is used to seeing so much....I don't know just how I will react to this. Anywho, I'm nervous but relieved to have my baby and my condition examined so closely. I'm praying for a good report and will post an update tomorrow.

Update: Everything went well today. The doctor took lots of pictures and measurements of the baby. She also measured my fibroid tumors. Since I'm only 11 wks, it's too early to tell much. My next appt with the specialist is in 5 weeks. My prayer is that baby continues to grow and be healthy and that my fibroid tumors do not pose any complications.

Baby was very active. It was a joy to see my baby dancing around. :)

Im high risk too, but my first visit was horrible, the Dr. was very rude and they didnt have all my records and he blamed me. But I go back next week I think, I see another Dr., this visit should go smooth. You will do fine. You are in Gods hands!!
