23-7-2008 - been awhile fine and dandyMy mood while writing this blog:
fine and dandy

Hey friends!

It's been awhile. What a change from being on this site ALL DAY EVERYDAY to being back in the real world! Johnny and I are back at work with Daddy at our store. He likes sleeps a lot on the job, but enjoys looking at the fishies:) The best thing about owning your own business and and being your own boss is the flexibility. I love that our friends and family can come visit while we are working!

It is a HUGE change for me after being isolated most of my pregnancy to be so busy all the time. I am utterly exhausted, but am so glad that my life is filled with so many wonderful people etc. Everyone is asking me about when we will have another child. It is very different for me than other moms. I literally spent maybe 10 days my entire pregnancy not at home or in bed. Most days I was too sick to even feed the dogs. I cannot imagine the impact it would have on my son to have mommy be so sick. I can't imagine carrying a little son around with a PICC line and an IV poll. To be honest, it breaks my heart a little bit. I hear other moms with HG crying because they couldn't take their kids to the store, because their children had to visit them at the hospital. Other children have a hard time with the pregnancy and not liking the baby "that" is making mom so sick. I want more children. Very badly. I want Johnny to have other siblings, but I am not sure if I could do this more than one more time. When I do it, I will need constant help. Basically, I will need another person here 24hrs a day to help out. If you have HG you are going to get it again, but the severity can change. I am hopeful. I am still going to do it. I just have to really plan things out and really think about everything when the time does come.

But, anyhow! Johnny is doing great. He is going through a growth spurt and he wants to eat costantly. He is just now getting into 0-3 month clothing! YAY. He smiles, coos and talks to himself all the time. He is such a happy little baby. But, he does have his moods because he is already totally a mama's boy. The other day he was up from 10am-10pm. Whenever he wasn't on me in the baby borjn he was screaming his head off. I love him so much! We are ALMOST done with the nursery finally:) I'll post pictures soon.

My tailbone still hurts a lot, basically we found out that it is just cracked all over. But, it is doing a million times better.

Well, I hope everyone is doing well. I am home the next 24 hours. I need to pump/nurse/eat and sleep to try to get my milk supply back up!

People are already asking you about having more kids?!? I know we had our kids further apart than many people - 4 years between each of them, but asking about having another baby already when yours is still a new baby and when you had such a rough pregnancy seems rude! I say take your time and enjoy the one you have while he is still little - they grow so fast and even though I had 4 years in between each of mine, I still wish I had more of me to give each of them.
Anyway, enough of my rant! I'm glad to hear all is well with you and that you are able to "be normal" again! He is precious!

Isn't it great to be back in the real world! As far as having other children I really hope you are able to have someone help you 24/7 so you can have another. My cousin suffers from HG. Her second time around it wasn't as bad as her first pregnancy but it still wasn't a walk in the park.

Glad you are almost back to normal. As for having more kids...go for it! I got pg when baby was 3 months old and I had less HG with her. I was able to eat more and do more things, so you never know. Each one of these little miracles is as different as their personalities. Take care and baby is so precious! Can't wait until I get pg...praying this month or next is it! Again, glad things getting back to normal and enjoy these months...they grow so fast! :)

I admire you so much for your intense love of children that you'd be willing to go through that again! Bravo! I don't know if I could do it. I'd like to think I would but I just don't know. I'm so glad that bad part is over for you now. Hope your tailbone gets all better.

Aint babies so fun! Leland has been a little pill for the last week... always nursing and wanting to be held CONSTANTLY. I had a little breakdown yesterday. All better now. Hubby took Leland for a couple of hours and I about couldn't stand it! I missed him so much and felt so bad about wanting time away from him. It's so hard when you don't know how to comfort them and make em happy again. Today seems much better for him. I actually am at work and able to do some stuff. I brought my 12 yr old to help me with baby. He's outside on his skateboard right now while baby sleeps. XOX

Oh J,
It is SO great to hear from you!!! I can just picture you -- a happy, loving mother, packing around your little offspring -- smiling, working, being NORMAL exhausted instead of sooooo sick. It makes me so happy!!!!

A friend said something very interesting to me the other day and I thought of you and Tish. We were talking about pregnancies (of course). She and I are both "older"; she has three nearly raised (wonderful!) daughters and then (with the "original" husband) ended up pregnant with a little boy who is now 4 (and a bit of a terror - but that is another story! :) She was sharing her sickness story -- worse than mine, more like yours. She was on IVs for five months! She has been under the care of a naturepath/homeopath for several years now and he recently found a thyroid problem. He said that could have been a factor in her violent sickness during pregancy. Had you heard that before?

I commend you for even THINKING of being pg again!! And I totally understand WHY! The thought of little Ty being raised essentially an only child breaks my heart too. So much so, that even at MY AGE, I would be pleased to do this YET AGAIN to give a sibling to grow up with. But I have no idea what God has planned for us over here... it will reveal itself in good time... but we still won't do anything to impede the possiblity. (Aren't we NUTS??!!!)

But for today, you get to love that little Johnny. How generous of God to give you to one another.
Blessings to you all three (or five!)
SueAnn

Glad things are going well.
YOu def. need to get your supply up if your little one is going through a growing spurt. I think alexis is going through one now, she's eating like crazy but she sleeps from about 11pm to 8am so it's nice to have a little break to sleep. My son sleeps the same hours so it's a children free zone during them times for me but during the day i'm exhusted from trying to keep this house clean but my son likes to trash it lol.
Alexis is still in 0-3 clothes but they're starting to get tight on her. She'll be 6 weeks old on saturday. time flies.

Glad things are working out for you. talk to you soon byes.
