21-5-2009 - 20 week anatomy scan..still a girl.

My mood while writing this blog:
floating on air

Avery was upside down curled into a ball as usual but kung fu fighting. I think I may have overdone it with the coke, skittles and sweetarts....the tech was like "oh, just stop moving for ONE second...ugh!" She tried for an hour to get her to move her head and little body over but...nothing.
She got the measurements she needed - organs, brain, heart, limbs, feet, hands, lips, nose, ovaries etc and all is well but she WOULD NOT flip over so no 4D today. No cute pics, nothing - just the same 'ol blurry upside down pic. The tech was said she was THEE most uncooperative baby ever - she said for my sake she hopes she doesn't stay that way.
But 100% no question GIRL! I said - are you sure? And the tech said - definitely! I swore I saw a flicker of disappointment on my hubby's face....b/c 2 weeks ago the tech was "not certain" and now its a definite...I think he had a glimmer of hope for a boy. I would have been excited either way.
They said I am getting a growth scan every 4 weeks b/c of a blood disorder I have. I am secretly excited about that.
So they will do the 4D then....yeah like she is gonna cooperate. Little stinker.
She is 13oz and I am 20 weeks and 4 days.
Even though she was her typical cheeky monkey self I was still thrilled to see her and SO happy that everything looks wonderful. My perfect little doll. If only she would behave.

I went to OB today too - my uterus measures 21 weeks. And I lost weight - my OB was like "are you eating enough?" I told her "I eat like a trucker." LOL Who knows...I was wearing shorts and a tank today - less clothes than last time.

Dont worry about your DH, I was worried that Steve was upset when we found out that we are having a girl - I think all men want a son. Now Steve call not wait to meet his 'Daddy girl' he even bought her a 'Daddys Little Princess' t-shirt!! hehe x

ur intelligender said boy and i remember u saying that u had all the symptoms that ur sis had with her boy, i bet u were surprised its a girl..girls are the best, ur husband is a typical man wanting a boy, but she will have him wrapped around her finger watch!!!

oh i hope mine is a girl! mine was last fri and baby would move either ugh...but the 28th i get to go again so we'll see if the tech as right she says 85% sure girl

Don't worry! My baby misbehaved so badly during the scan that after two hours they sent me away and I had to come back two days later! They finally got the images but the 4D pic wasn't as good as it could of been because she was curled up with her head near my hips! These girls! Very naughty!
