17-8-2009 - 33 week scan

Today was my 33 week scan. The doctor wants me to go monthly to monitor growth...well, she is growing all right! She was 4lbs 13 oz today - which is big when you read that the little ones are usually 4.4lbs at 33 weeks. Her heartrate was 162 and everything is perfect. She is engaged already and very active. I am hoping she a little bit early!
Nothing new to report otherwise - my feet and ankles are painfully, grotesquely swollen and I was sitting all weekend in a 10 hour childbirth class. Not much salt to eat. What gives? Should I be concerned?
I am ready for this baby!

aww hun, dont want to get your hopes up but my baby is big and she is now late!! lol I hope the same is not true for you. Pls get your swelling checked out x

I am glad that everything went well...I know ALL about the swollen feet that actually hurt and feel bruised...I don't know what gives!!!! I can't believe we are almost done!!!

ugh!! im so ready for my baby too, im soooooo hopeing mine comes early too!! i have a doc visit next week and hope hes engaged lolnot too long now girl..wonder who will go first, me or u? heehee

Your lucky to get an u/s monthly now. My dr. did one at 20 weeks and that was it. the only other one i had was my 4d i paid out of pocket at 32 weeks. Just as long as your bp is good then there isnt anything to worry about with the swelling. Unfortunately, its normal for some women. I had it too. Good luck!
