30-8-2009 - Weird rash - help!

My mood while writing this blog:
concerned

Today I woke up with a red, itchy rash around my eyes and eyebrows that spread as the day wore on -down my cheeks to my chin, neck and lips. Its getting itchier and the tiny, red bumps are forming raised patchy areas. It looks horrible. I have no clue what this is. I washed with mild cleanser and put California Baby Calendula cream all over it - it stings. I took one 25mg Benadryl. Nothing helps so far.
Anyone hear of such a thing?
You think this is bad? Should I call my OB?
I am getting a little worried. Even my DH thinks it looks bad and he is usually unphased by anything.

I haven't a clue what it could be but it sounds terribly uncomfortable! I hope you find something to relieve the itching...let us know what you find out

sounds like PUPPS ...from what I understand the only thing to take care of it is delivery....call DR in the am ok..let us know what happens ok

Oh no! A few of my friends had PUPs when preg and that's what it sounds like but they had it on their bodies. Call your doctor. If that's what it is there's a cream they can give you for it. Let me know what your doctor says!

I would say you have PUPPS..a rash that developes in the third trimester of first pregnancies. I had it my first all over my belly. The itching stopped right after delivery and with in a week it was completely gone. It usually starts around the 35th week. I used calamine lotion and caladryl (sp?) to help the itching. However I've never heard of it on the face or neck so you probably want to call your doc to make sure. Good luck and I hope you find some relief!
