03-9-2009 - 35 week OB visit

My mood while writing this blog:
exhausted

Yay, I had my 35 week OB visit this morning. Baby Avery had a wonderful heartbeat, is head down and I am measuring exactly 35 weeks! I told my OB that I am an insomniac lately and she recommended I limit fluids after 7pm and take 1/2 benadryl. I don't think that will help. Luckily, I have 3 days left of work. My sister said to ask her for Ambien but I don't think I want to go there. I will probably sleepwalk on it and diaper my chihuahua in my sleep. LOL.
I asked her how on Earth I can reserve the jacuzzi tub labor room at my hospital and she said "no one ever uses the tub so she does not think its going to be a problem for me." She said that I will likely change my mind and not want it either.
Has anyone labored in a jacuzzi tub before?
Well, I am going to try to nap as I got maybe 3 hours of sleep last night.

I see my OB weekly now and next week get my GBS test and first internal exam!

So can I ask what your belly measured at then? My Dr measures my belly every time and I've never asked what the measurement was Haha show's how curious I am...My hosp room will have a Jacuzzi tub in it and it sounds amazing now but if I think about it-I'm not one to enjoy long bubble baths or hot tubs...the water is too hot and I sweat so maybe I won't like it but it's nice to have the option!! Well I hope you get some rest in, and I would try cutting your liquids like your Dr said and make sure you have a few hours of 'down' time before bed and don't go to bed TOO early...good luck!

Sounds like a great apt!! I never did the tub, just laid in the bed. I was thinking this time around I would want to be up and moving or sitting in a chair but I'm guessing I'll end up staying in bed..It's always good to keep your options open :o) I only had two hours sleep last night, Our bobies must be getting us ready to have busy lil bees. Hope your able to rest!

At my antenatal class they mentioned a lot of people like to sit on the toilet during labor!!! I think it is best to play it by ear and see what you feel like at the time. I can't imagine what it will be like. At least the outcome is worth all the trouble! We will have our baby girls soon!!!!
