24-9-2009 - 38 week OB visit

My mood while writing this blog:
tired

This morning I had my 38 week OB appt. All is well with urine, weight, heartbeat and BP. Baby has not dropped (though she is head down) and I am all closed up! No progress. Ow, the internal exam kinda hurt this time - the OB felt like she was pinching my cervix. Is this normal? I have had a lot of BD lately - maybe I am sore from that? Anyways, I asked if she thought the baby would be late since I am not progressing much and she said "not necessarily, most first time moms don't dilate til they are actually in labor." Whew, thats a relief.
I did some walking today. But I am so tired, I did not get much sleep last night. Its so unfair.
How is everyone else coming along?

I feel for ya, I had my 38 week visit today , everything was fine except my high blood presser . My doctor said I dilated a half a fingertip, I think she was wanting me to feel like I was progressing .LOL We are almost there, I can't wait to see all of our babies. =) Take care !!

awww poor babe! Im sorry! Well with my first, i was dialated 1cm from week 35 till D day, i didnt change down below till labor as well, i know its discouraging but u are soooooooooooooooo close, hang in there hun

Sue, I was in labor, my water broke and MY CERVIX WAS CLOSED!!! don't worry...

Good luck,,,,my doctor told me that I have not dilated, and nothing has changed besides the baby's head being down...so he is going to do a C-Section on me tomm...and I also want it too, because its my birthday on the 26 and our wedding anniversary on the 27...and my doc believes that I may even be 39 weeks, because my measurements are measuring to be 39...so don't be discouraged...she will be coming...

When I started having contractions they were 1 - 2 minutes apart and I was still closed, not dilated at all. Don't get discouraged. She'll be here soon and I can't wait to get that email from you :)

I think you and I are in the same boat...they don't think this little one is coming early, but more likely late, and this is my second...ugh!

I have my appmt today too, but I see the light, i will be induce next week thank god, cuz i really can't take it anymore
