11-10-2009 - Concidering becoming a house wife OkMy mood while writing this blog:
Ok

I currently work as a contractor for Field Engineers. I really enjoy it at times, but im starting to believe with another child on the way that I would much rather be at home. I was just wondering if any other house wives had any advice, or comments on this topic. My main concern is that i wont feeling important. Like at my current job Im need like they cant function without me lol. If im at home I feel like I'll be cooking and cleaning with the kids and playing and spendig more time. Which I want really bad. I just am scared to quit my job and take that leap.

Hey, well I am a stay at home mom, and I love it, I get more housework done, and I get the errands ran, I did open my own business at home, so I can help bring in extra money. I get to work my own hours and when I want to. My kids love having me at home, Before I met my hubby I was working 2 jobs and my kids never got to see me, But there are advantages and disadvantages, and you need to weigh these out on your own, not everyone is the same. Can your family raise a family on one income? With the way the economy is? I'm not saying you can't, but that is one of the main reasons I opened my own business, cause my hubby was making real good money till last year, but if you can manage and if you want to, then see how it will be on your maternity leave, and if you find you love being at home with both kids, then I say go for it. But like I said not everyone is the same. Good Luck.
