15-10-2009 - could'nt hear my babies heartbeat OkMy mood while writing this blog:
Ok

Okay so I went to the doctors yesterday, I didnt see my regular doctor. I had some jolly ole gal come walsing in. Asking me all these questions and wouldnt even let me finish the damn statement before she moved on. So here comes the bad part, they were rushing me so much that she tried to hear my babies heart beat like on any doctors appoinment and she couldnt find it. So she goes o well ill set you up for an ultra sound. So she sets me up for an ultra sound.......not for that day...but for a week from that day...WTF...if you cant hear my babies heart beat you certainly shouldnt be trying to have the ulta sound a friggin week from that day. I couldnt believe it I stormed out of there with so much anger. So i guess you no Im looking for another hospital. I refuse to be rushed around. I care to much about this little girl inside me.

omg! when we couldn't hear our baby's Heartbeat at 14wks and 22wks, the first think they did was get the ultrasound machine out. Sadly at 22wks is when we found out our daughter's heart stopped and was no longer with us. I hope that everything is okay with your baby.

Hi hon, hope something has worked out for you since.. the same happened me and i was so annoyed.. i was feeling like what and why is there no explaniation.. they said ok its ok some times its hard to get one. I'd go to the dr again or to another one and tell them you are so concerned. Can you feel movement?? If even the extreme i'd get one of those home heart beat things cant think of the name of it. Let me know how you get on X

I think u need to go back there and demand an u/s for today! Pls do not wait for next week. The baby could be fine for all u know, but it will ease yr mind and also rule out all possibilities once it's done. I know I wouldn't be able to wait to listen to my baby's HB. I had that happen to me when I was pregnant and my doc immediately did a scan to locate his heart beat. They are supposed to do it!

When I was pregnant with Aidan and when my doctor was worried about anything, she always gotten me in the ultrasound that day or if it wasn't as urgent she would get me the first appointment of the day the next morning. She would of kept searching for the heartbeat to make sure and would of taken her time. One thing to keep in mind its not bad if you don't feel some movement or hear a heartbeat, your uterus could be tilted and that would definitely keep you from feeling anything or hearing a heartbeat. I would march up to your dr's office or to the ER and get it checked out because it will only bother you and stress you way more if you don't. And stress is not good for the baby. Fill out a complaint against the woman as well.

Sweetie you need to go back in there..that woman shouldn't have just let you leave, Doctors who can not hear the baby's heartbeat take them to do an ultrasound right there and then, there is NO WAITING for something like that, this women seem incompetent to be working in the office if she # 1. Rushed to do her job, #2 Decided it best to wait to hear the babies heartbeat, if something is wrong and something goes wrong with that baby, GOD FORBID but it will be on her hands and a lawsuit waiting to happen. That is just complete negligence. Do you feel the baby moving at all???? You are 21 weeks, you will be able to hear the baby's heartbeat through a stethoscope I would consider getting one to ease your mind. Call the doctors office up and demand to have something done about this..I wish you the best.
