08-4-2009 - First U/S in less than 4 hours! Freaking out! Nervous! Anxious! HELP! scaredMy mood while writing this blog:

Alright... today is the day! I'm still very scared and nervous!

I've never done this before! I mean, I've had ultrasounds before but they were for completely different things! This time I have another life inside of me and I am afraid that it's not perfect for some reason.... I mean, what if they can't find the heartbeat?!? What if my bladder isn't full enough? What if something is wrong??

I was so nervous that I didn't get to sleep until 3am thinking about it... And now that today is the day I am on pins and needles....

I am also nervous about the Pap too... One of my friends said that because of how sore everything up there is during pregnancy that she was in agony when they opened the speculum.... uugh... and the last time I had a pelvic exam I nearly cried during that part because it hurts me anyway.... I'm so scared!

I also am waiting for the blood drawing to be over with quickly also... the last time I had blood taken I nearly passed out... and this is coming from me! I'm usually the person who watched while they put the needle in the vein.... (maybe because the nurse who did it last time blew my vein..) I'm scared about that too!

I'm so nervous! How do I get through this ladies!?

Sweetie please try to relax. Stressing and lack of sleep isn't good for you or the baby. You'll be okay. The Pap is so quick, as is the blood draw...thinking about it is worse than it actually happening. BREATHE!!!! You will be okay. :)
