12-5-2009 - I'm getting tested for Swine Flu :( *blah/sick*My mood while writing this blog:

Fun stuff!

My husband and I were swimming Saturday with our wonderful friends Vanessa and Larry who are also expecting their first (She is 6 months along)...

WELL.... yesterday she went to the hospital for a headache and a SMALL (99.3F) fever and she tested postitive for the flu... go figure! Precautions were used and her results were sent to the CDC to test for swine flu because it is out of season... wonderful... and the results won't be back in for several days... :( The doctor gave her Tamiflu or something like that for it...

Today I woke up with a headache and fatigue and overall sickness (NOT m/s)... I called the clinic I've been going to and told them my symptoms and that I was exposed to someone else who has the flu during her incubation period and they told me to come in to get tested for swine flu! YAY! :(

I'm not worried because I don't believe that it is anywhere near as bad as the media is making it out to be but I am being cautious and getting tested... I survived the flu once already when I was 6 weeks along and now I think that the baby and I are strong enough to survive again... Yay, go us!

aww hun i hope it comes back negative for you! Tamiflu seems to be what they are giving everyone as a precaution as it cures swine flu. Hope everything goes ok. x
