04-5-2008 - Daddy smiled...

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

We had another doctor's appointment on Friday. My husband was with me and got to hear Bubba's heartbeat for the first time. The smile that crossed his face was PRICELESS. I don't think I will have a hard time convincing him to attend any other appointments. :-)

So, vitals look good..heartbeat was about 140-145 bpm. It was nice and strong. Just reminds me what a strong baby we have. My husband was so proud. Our ultrasound is in two weeks. We can not wait to SEE Bubba again. AND hopefully he/she will cooperate, so that we can find out the sex. I can't believe we are already to this point!!!

After that, we can really move forward on getting the room together, getting clothes, etc!

In other news, I have a pooch now. I look mildly chubby in the mornings (my assistant keeps asking me. "when are you going to start showing?" (I thought I was!), and HUGE by the end of the day! I have really got to figure out how to adjust my portions, because I get SO uncomfortable after meals and by the end of the day. Makes me not look forward to the long hot summer. To date, I have gained 7 lbs....which is not bad overall, but it happened ALL IN THE LAST MONTH! That was a bit shocking for me....so, adjusting to the extra weight and feeling larger is a bit of a challenge. Alas, I guess it is par for the course.

Anyway, the adventure continues...still feeling good and enjoying the ride (mostly) :-).
