30-12-2009 - Update on the boys Doctors visit

My mood while writing this blog: happy

Quick update took the boys to the Ped. yesterday for Owen's 2 week visit and for a well check up for Wyatt. Owen now weighs 8lbs 4oz. which is 1lb and 4oz heavier than his birth weight which is really good considering his billirubin levels were so high his discharge weight was 6lbs 11oz. And he is 19.5inchs long now. She put him on his belly to check his back and he pushed himself up with his arms and the Ped. said Woah your a strong little fella lets try something and she stood him up on his legs and held onto him by his elbow/shoulders and he walked 4 steps towards her holding his head up and looking around the whole time it was the cutest thing! She said I thought you'd be able to do that you are one strong little fella your def. gonna give your big brother a run for his money! He basically sleeps through the night we feed him before we go to bed at 11 and then wake up with him once at 4am he eats gets a new diaper and goes back to sleep and then both boys are up at 7am. And the real fun begins! Wyatt did great at the doctors office too he now weighs 37lbs which is perfect for his height which she forgot to write down for me so i'm going to have to call them and find out what it is. I keep a record of all of there doctor visits in there baby books. She said he has a great vocabulary and she is very happy with how both of them are doing. Wyatt has turned into a little care giver for Owen he is always wanting to give him his pacy or a blanket and showing him his toys. Today however was a fun one Owen needed changed and while I was in his room changing him Wyatt decided Owen needed a bottle and went out to the kitchen to make him one! I came out of Owen's room to find Wyatt standing in the middle of the kitchen in a HUGE puddle of water (we use nursery water that comes in gallon jugs to make bottles) pointing at a bottle full of water in the bottle warmer yelling There Mommy there you go! All Done!! With the biggest smile on his face I just couldn't be mad at him he was so proud of himself and he meant well...but boy did it make one heck of a mess! Hope everybody is doing great!
