| 09-5-2008 - 9 March 2008, Week 29.3 | My mood while writing this blog:Good |
I have to start writing in my blog more for a record to look back on, but also for others to be able to read and use as a source of information. I usually get a chance to get onto this website and read and look things up once the kids are in bed at night. I usually sit infront of the TV and relax, eat my tea quite often and also get on the Net. By this time of night I am usually too tired to do much else other than 'lay' type activities.
I often have a sore back and just want to recline back in comfort a bit too so I sit in a bean bag. And I find I can sit up or lie back as much as I want. I usually sit the laptop on my knee and type away inbetween TV ads. Everyone is asleep in bed now including my husband, so I have perfect peace!
Common complaints this week: I thought I felt a possible urinary tract infection (UTI) coming on. Except I have never actually had one before - so I wasnt quite sure. When I was passing urine though it felt slightly uncomfortable, so I decided to treat it as a possible one, and went and brought fresh cranberry juice and drinking plenty of water to flush out any possible infection. You see I didnt want to have to take anti-biotics unnecessarily. In the last few days I havnt felt like the UTI has been progression - yay!
cont... the other problem though that I tend to be a bit predisposed to in my last trimester of pregnancy is ... thrush. I always seem to get a bout of it some time in my final trimester of pregnancy. I have with my previous 2 pregnancies as well. So today I brought vaginal thrush cream to use with aplicator. It relieves the discomfort quite quickly thankfully.
cont... I went to the chiropractor a couple of days ago cos I have been having lower back pain. But I seem to get that too throughout the whole of all my pregnancies. Anyway I saw my chiro and told her about walking and having a shooting pain down my right lower back every time I lifted my right leg - ouch. I also mentioned the severe heartburn I had been getting with everything I ate or drank, and it had been especially bad in the past week. So I had been taking lots of Gaviscon - and I hate unnecessarily taking medications. She did all her usual adjustments and aligned everything. I walked out of there pain free which feels really good. Then I noticed in the following few days my heartburn barely existed and I wasnt needing the Gaviscon. I thought what have I done differently, then I realised it was the chiro who had fixed it. And I had heard they can help fix reflux in babies etc, so I guess they can also help preggo women!
Had my gestational diabetes test a week ago, still waiting on results when I see my midwife next week, tues 13/5/08. I was starting to get a little worried about the result cos I had been abit thirsty, a sign of GD. However I dont think I have, I think I'm just busy and not drinking enough fluids, so I wake up thirsty at night. But I also find I get full very quickly and fitting in food and enough fluids is a challenge!
Will sign off for now!
