25-2-2009 - Amniotic Twins

My mood while writing this blog: Excited and scared!

I had my high risk ultrasound today if thats what you call it. They wanted to check on the babies. My biggest fear is true. My twins are Amniotic Twins. (Momo) Twins. These types of twins are very rare. I googled it and 1-30,000-1-60,000 are amniotic twins. The doctor told me they have had 5 cases in 10 years. One being my mother-in-law. My husbands sisters are momo twins. Wierd right? They say its not genetic. My husband is putting my pics up somtime today. They are so beautiful!! They checked the blood flow of the babies and both cords were already tangled going to my one placenta. They are so little they said they will tangle and untangle right now. 26 weeks constant monitoring in hospital. He said that was started in 2009 for these types of twins. After 30 weeks or so it drops of somthing happening cause they will be to big to move around. They deliver at 34 weeks c-section only if not before. I really hope and pray I make it to at least 26 weeks cause they said they cannot do anything for them before that. Then I will shoot for 34 weeks. I am scared. I cried and cried today. I just want to have my babies in my arms breathing and healthy. All my other pregnancies were a breeze. I never thought of somthing like this was gonna happen to me. I hope he hurries up with the pics. They are so good. Hope you ladies are well.

omg so sorry to hear this. Your babies will be fine tho. My twins are mono di twins means 1 placenta 1 big sac and 2 little membranes seperating them. Well so far lol. i dont go see the specialist until 13th March when it will be confirmed and stuff. Glad to hear your m/s is fading. Take care and God Bless xoxox

everything should be fine. if you have any questions about preturm birth let me know. I had my first twins at 33 weeks, and was in preturm labor from 25 weeks on. My twins are seven now and fine. This set of twins i am pregnante with i hope to go to 36 weeks but we will see those babies have a mind of there own lol. keep your head up, if you need someone to talk to i am here for you.
