My mood while writing this blog: Trying not to freak out! |
So my aunt called me at like 7:30 this morning and freaked me out. After what I have been through WHY would you do this to me??? She is a whole natural person. Does not do any food that is not natural and no vaccinations ever. I have no problem with it but I am just not that way. She said did you get the H1N1 shot? I said yes I did. She wanted to know how long ago and I said probably like 6 weeks ago or so. She said well Dr. Mercola has said many women have miscarried after taking the shot. I totally was caught of guard and said well...... What do you say!!!??? Whats done is done. My baby seems great. Always moving. Anyways I have never heard of this doctor but was wondering if any of you have. I just googled him. Anyways I hope you all are having a good day. I just dont know why she had to freak me out like this!

Sunday, 13 Dec I don't know who that doctor is either. I wouldn't worry about it I had my shot at the end of Oct and have been just fine. Anyways they were going to put it in the reg. flu vac but it just took longer to harvest than what they had expected. MamaLuvnJah -
Saturday, 12 Dec I've been worried for you, so I did some research. Don't worry you'd be having contractions right after the shot was given. Your one of the lucky ones. There are tons of stories and info on this if you google (Is H1N1 vaccine causing stillbirths) The women started having contractions a wk after vaccine was given and had still births. Some women are taking the vaccine just fine w/ no side effects. One of the girls on this site got a severe sinus infection from the vaccine that sent her to the ER. That's the only other side effect I've heard about till you just told me this. Sounds like you are doing good. I wouldn't worry. I'll keep you and all pregnant women who got the shot in my prayers. Friday, 11 Dec yeah she shouldn't have freaked you out like that. If she was concerned which I'm sure she is she should have taken a different approach as to just check on you a lot. Anyway you'll be fine. I personally didn't get that shot but I think you and baby will be just great. MamaLuvnJah -
Friday, 11 Dec Like I said from the beginning. There was not enough time w/ the testing done on the effects on pregnant women. I would want years of testing not a few months before I inject anything into my baby. The reg. flu shot seems safe and it's been done for years. THIS IS NEW! ichinisan -
Friday, 11 Dec I don't know, but seeing as we are past the 1st trimester and it has been weeks and weeks since we got the shot, I'm sure its fine. If it were really causing that, don't you think the health departments would stop ffering it to preggos? I feel good about my decision and I think you too so don't let her get to you. She should not have said anything to you seeing as there is nothing we can do about it now. What's the point?? And our babies seem fine. readyfor3 -
Friday, 11 Dec I haven't heard of him either. But with the H1N1 vaccine they recommended it to preggos in their 2nd or 3rd trimester. Not 1st. I hope everything will be okay with my baby. I got the vaccine 2 weeks ago and I am due for a second shot next week. Eeeek! What to do now? mmyof3angels -
Friday, 11 Dec I agree. I dont think someone can blame the H1N1 vaccine for miscarrying. Miscarriages unforunately happen all the time even without vaccines, and I really dont think that our doctors would of recommended it if it would have placed us or our babies in harms way. I was told the same thing, that it is made just like the flu shot, my friend is 15 weeks pregnantt, and is refusing the shot, I hope that she changes her mind and gets it soon, because I would hate for her to lose her baby or her life due to the virus. mmyof3angels -
Friday, 11 Dec I have never heard of that either, I did my research before getting my shot, and found that mothers who did NOT get the shot and were in their 24/26 week range were the ones who were passing away, I never heard of anyone miscarrying from it. Karleigh and Mali doing just GREAT even after getting the shot! :) Dont worry, if you are ask your doc on Wed.
