03-7-2008 - Update

My mood while writing this blog:

Soooo...I know I have not updated in like a billion years....Im so sorry guys I just didn't feel like it lol Im not even gonna lie I was just being lazy soooo where should I begin....Ok well as you all know I am very close to my due and I have been having non stop contractions(nothing serious) but nevertheless Im still having then (YAY ME!!) I went to the doctor today and was told I tested positive for that Strep thing....I have no idea what that is(can someone enlighten me??) Anyways always I found out I will not be able to get and epidural due to the enormous tattoo on my back that I got like 3 years ago (.::tear::.) I really hope I will be able to take that pain because lawd knows I turn into a big a** baby when pain comes lol I got my bad packed just gotta get me a few more snacks cuz I know my bf will be all in my bag.....Does anyone know if they have any alternatives to the epi??

On another note my little man is doing pretty good he is in position only thing is they are saying he is smaller than average for his gestational age and that kinda scares me...so that has been worrying me since they told me that. I have started going to my weekly appts. And today at my appt. my doc said "

see you next week if I dont see you at the hospital 1st"!! That made me sooo excited but then kinda nervous.....My pookie will be here soon!!! Well thats all that has been going on guys just wanted to give yall a lil update!! Love ya MUAH!!

hey...you almost there really sorry to hear ya cant get that epi!! I know I gotta get one Imma having a C-section...But um girl I gotta start On my major cleaning here shortly!! because man I cant wait for my baby to come wow I have sooo much clothing towash up...I know Ya cant wait to see lil Jasiah I know he is going to be a cutie forreal so how small are they saying he is going to be? I wouldnt worry about it if I were U ebcause honey them SONO's are off some because when my son was being born they told me he was going to be big he was only 6lbs 14oz soo good luck with everything and Dont worry I know that is hard to do this close HUH!!

Your almost there! Don't worry too much bout the Strep B, It's a bacteria that some people carry in their bodies, and it usually doesn't cause any illnesses, however, when having a baby, they have to give you an antibiodic during labour, because they baby can become infected with the bacteria, and it can cause blood infections or meningitis because their immune system isn't strong enough to fight off the bacteria. Don't worry it'll be fine. As for what they told you about your birth weight, they are known to get woman all worked up about their weights and then the baby is fine when they are born, so i would not worry about that either, i know it's easier said than done as we worry about every little thing when it comes to our lil ones.

As for the epi, I did not get it with my labour, my alternatives were "Nubain" a drug they gave me a few hours before i would push, they wont give it past a certain time, because it makes you really drousy and they want you to be able to push and have the energy needed, but it helped me sleep for an hour or so, and then she woke me up to start walking around, but it did help me out. I also used the gas mask (nitrogous oxide) and it kinda helped me during contractions, it makes you kinda light headed, same as if you go to the dentist, that same feeling. Girl just prepare yourself mentally, that's the best thing you can do, movement and breathing will help you out alot!!
