This morning we had our ultrasound. ITS A GIRL! The Doctor that did it was great and explained everything in detail. He did see something that concerned him a bit and it was a dark spot on the baby's head. The Doc said that this is very common and sees it about once a week. But for peace of mind he wants me to come back in 4 weeks to do another ultrasound and make sure the dark spot is gone. He said he had never seen it not go away. Although the doc wasnt worried I am. He said the baby looks perfectly healthy. I am so happy to hear that. But I will on edge for another 4 weeks. Daddy is so happy and keeps telling me not to worry, but how can I not. Her name will be Gracie Jacqueline and she weighs 8 ounces right now at 18 weeks and 2 days.

I went through the same thing. however, my experience was a little more firghtening. See the Doctor never told me he saw a cyst on the brain when i went for my ultra sound. It wasn't until the next apointment a month later that the next Dr. i saw told me that they found a cyst on the brain. It freaked me out and upset me that he never said anything. But i went for a follow up ultra sound and it was gone. I guess it is a pretty common thing.
