11-7-2008 - How to tell my aunt...(family)

Well, my bf and I had a long talk last night. And after both of us apologizing, we're going to work things out and move back in with each other. I think we were both just acting immature, but he's really a great guy and I didn't want to lose him. Anyways, I'll be 16 weeks pregnant on Tuesday and my family still has no idea! I don't really speak to my dad (he lives in NJ) and my mom passed away when I was 12...So they ppl who are my "parents" are my aunt and uncle and the person I'm really afraid is my aunt. We are very very close but I'm 18 and I don't turn 19 until December...I don't live with them anymore of course I live with my BF and we pay our on bills, but I'm still scared to tell her knowing that she's going to be very disappointed. I didn't want to tell her in a bad tone, ya know, I wanted to tell her somewhat happily so maybe that would change her mood but I'm still unsure I need some advice, a few of my distant cousins have had children around my age and she disapproved of them at first but now she buys them clothes or toys whenever she feels like it....I need advice, please help me!!!

Look the first part of you guys growing up is to stop worrying about wut others will think of you. Ur BF and u live on ur own and pay ur own bils tht alone is a great accomplishment and ur family shoudl be proud of you. You 18 and yes it maybe a lil early to be having a baby but let me tell u I was 18 when I had my first lil girl and I have no regrets. She is my strength and since Ive had her my parents were disappointed but u know tht made me try harder and I have raised a beautiful lil lady and everyone in my family is proud of me. I never asked for help or looked for anything from anyone to do for her. If yo and ur BF is trying to be adults and responsible parents it starts NOW. Go to ur aunt as adults and just tell her. I can tell you this she probably already knows. Jus as my grandmother did. Dont stress enjoy ur pregnancy be happy eventually it will be in her heart to forgive and be there for u and her great niece.
