15-5-2008 - Moring Sickness

OK, so why is it called Morning Sickness?? I've been sick ALL DAY, everyday since 6 weeks, with the morning being my LEAST nauseated time of day. It's worse when i don't eat, so i have to eat, but food is what makes me nauseated.....ughh...what a catch 22!! This sucks so bad. I've tried EVERTHING and here's what helps me:

- those sea bands. Although it sounds crazy, they did help me with relief. I don't know if it was psychological or not, but either way, it helped me.

- popcicles. The sweetness eases the quesiness.

- a cat nap....this helps TREMENDOUSLY!!

So far, these are my saviors...Oh yeah, and i DEFINATELY avoid doing dishes, cooking, and taking out the trash. Those strong smells make me gag on implulse!!!!!

Although I'm complaining about the Morning Sickness, the doc says it's a good sign. After 2 previous miscarriages, I'm scared to death to have another...so the sickness just reassures me that my bean is sprouting....

I don't think i'll ever stop worrying, though, until i give birth. Right now, i'm just blessed that this pregnancy has made it this far!! My first m/c ended at 7 weekks 1 day and my second at 4 weeks. Fingers are crossed!!!!!!!!!!

Hey girl!! I've read many things lately that talk about vitamin B6 for nausea. Also, items that are ginger or have ginger in them such as the infamous ginger ale. I don't get morning sickness and never have had it with any of my 3 previous pregnancies nor this one. I have had a crappy gag reflex lately though. And sometimes I can't think of anything to eat that sounds like it won't make me vomit or want to. But, if I just eat something I don't usually feel like getting sick it is just the thought of it. And not eating of course messes with my blood sugar and makes me very nauseous.
