30-5-2009 - His Folks

My mood while writing this blog:
Sleepy!

I knew we were breaking the news to his folks. And I was also meeting his mom and sister for the first time. I met his dad a few days before. So I couldn't sleep this morning! And I was boilinggggg! It's like someone took my internal thermostat and cranked it to boiling. Didn't help with the nerves I was having.

So by the time I met them I was a mess!

We ate, I introduced them to fried cauliflower, and then I didn't want mine. And wasn't sure how to explain my oddness while eating. I know they noticed, but they were polite. So when we walked out of the restaurant, Ron gave his mom her "gift."

It was a baby album she could use to put pics of our baby in it. She looked just like him when I showed him the preg test! She said "What does this mean?" And Ron and his sister were like "What do you think?" And she nearly cried.

I think his dad did a little. She hugged me and congratulated us. His dad shook his hand. They made some of those comments you make and laugh about when your happy and shocked. They welcomed me to the family, and we talked genealogy for a few minutes.

She already said she needs the first ultrasound pics as soon as we get them!

I'm relieved. I found out a friend of mine is three weeks ahead of me, and just did the Myspace reveal! So I get to have a friend to share notes with! And for both of us it's not our first, and we will both be having a c-sect. Hers at the end of December and mine in January!

Now for my nap!!!
