10-9-2009 - UTI And School Drama

I didn't nap before work last night, so I was beat when I got home today. And still I only managed 3 hours before bladder spasms woke me up. I ran to the bathroom and pee'd and just ached. Since I know UTI's shouldn't be left to fester in pregnancy I called the doc, and they scheduled me in for a few hours later.

I called my b/f who got off work and came to get me. They told me I didn't have blood in my urine. I'm a nurse and never thought blood was a requirement? Maybe some nitrates, leukocytes, and white blood cells, but RED blood cells? It can happen, but it's not diagnostic of UTI.

They said I had WBC's and put me on Macrobid for 7 days. They are sending my urine out for culture. If all it had was WBC's I question it's a true UTI. But I am symptomatic, so I will take the meds. I just want to stand up again without feeling like crap.

Then while all this is going on my younger son's school suspended him for playing with a star decoration from a cupcake like it's a ninja star and joking with his friend about using it if you don't like your teacher. No specific threat was made from these 4th graders, but the school is super paranoid about any inkling of violence. Have they met boys?

It's so much drama with school this year. It's been pink slips(the way they report bad behaviors) for every problem he doesn't finish or any paper that's late. And they have kept him in from recess almost every day for these things. They also give him several hours of homework every day except weekends.

All this on 3 hours sleep.

Tomorrow starts off with me taking him to school. They want to suspend him, but I want to meet with them first. I have cried so many times today I wouldn't trust myself to meet them today. I'm a hormonal, tired mess! Even with this meeting tomorrow has to be better!

I turned to my b/f and said "Get ready, our girl is next!"
