29-4-2008 - My pregnancy

My mood while writing this blog: a mixed bag!

My scan yesterday put me at 13 weeks today, so almost in the second trimester. It seems like only yesterday I found out I was pregnant but very early on. The time is flying.

It was lovely to see our baby on the screen and that all seems well. I was absolutely amazed at the change in the four weeks since our last scan and suprised that the baby did exactly the same thing our three-year-old son did during his 12-week scan - woke up, turned his/her back and went back to sleep! They look different in appearance though. I have no inkling if it's a boy or a girl. My son is confident it's a boy but I just don't know. A girl would be nice, but a boy would be more than fine too. Only 7 weeks until we can find out!

I'm feeling well today, all my horrible symptoms have eased, although I have another bad cold which reminds me of my early pregnancy days. My waist is starting to expand, but I don't have a proper bump yet, just overspill!

We've told most people now and I just have to officially tell work tomorrow, although I think most of them already know or suspect one way or the other!
