So far I only had symptoms the last two days. I haven't had any symptoms today at all. My cramps went away... oops, I spoke too soon, I just got a little crampy. I didn't feel pregnant at all this morning but I keep getting positive tests and no period at all. I'm still in shock and not quite believing that I'm really pregnant. I wonder when it will really sink in.
I told my mother last night and she was in shock too. She makes me feel a little weird and I definitely don't want her in the room with me when I give birth and neither does my husband. I'm really concerned that the doctor that I went to see before we started trying will not take me as a patient because I told him that I would not submit to him inducing me at 38 weeks which is really weird because I will go into labor probably after that time. I had never heard of a doctor inducing at 38 weeks. It seems a little controling. Anyway, I guess I could go to my original doctor it's just that he's all the way in another town and it takes us at least an hour to get there.
I already started my baby registry at amazon.com/baby even though I have another nine months to go. I just couldn't help it. I don't really like pink so I chose the blue bedding even if it turns out to be a girl. I know she would have a lot of pink to wear because my sister in law had a girl nine months ago and she's saving all the baby stuff for me. I don't think I want a regular crib. My sister in law used a playard and then when her son was old enough he went straight into his twin bed with rails. She also didn't have a changing table she just changed her baby on the dresser or the bed or the floor with a large changing pad that I made for her out of old blue jeans. I guess it was easier and more cost effective because she bought the regular furniture that he would have for his room all the way till he moved out and didn't spend very much on the transient stuff that she would have only needed for a little while. The only problem is that we already have the family crib and it's so cute so I guess I'll use it for a while so I need the bedding unless my husband's cousin would pass her's down to us.
The other thing I registered for was cloth diapers. Everyone is so negative about it and is saying that I won't stick with it. It doesn't seem that hard and the benefits definitely outweigh the extra effort. I researched it and they say that the indian prefold are the best and that the thirsty's covers are the best covers and you don't even need the pins if you use a cover around the diaper. I think it will be a lot more cost effective if everyone gets me the cloth diapers for my baby shower and then I'll never have to spend additional money on diapers or run out to the convenience store in the middle of the night for more pampers. I don't think it will be that bad if I use liners and flush them.
Anyway, I just can't wait till I start to showing so I can start wearing the maternity pants. They look so comfortable.
Does anyone else think this looks like a baby i a dishwasher?...
