28-3-2009 - 15w5d It's a Boy!

My mood while writing this blog: Happy but in pain!

So on Friday morning I noticed some bright pink staining when I went to the bathroom. It did not stop for a while and I was very scared. I called my doctor and he told me to come in and he would take a look. The bleeding had stopped by the time I got there but he sent me in for an ultrasound anyway. I finally got to see my little baby. It was so clear and you could see everything in the sonogram. So, good news, it's a boy! The tech said it was very clear that it was a boy and he was showing EVERYTHING off for us to see. So now we're thinking names and Dave is still debating between Samuel and Seth and I still want Steven. I'm thinking this may be the only one for me. I don't know whether or not I want to go through this again. Anyway, the doctor looked at the results of the sonogram and said that the placenta had detatched a little bit from the wall and I had to relax and be very careful from now on. No working out in the garden and no lifting heavy things.

Congrats on the baby boy!! I've got a boy too! My friend had her placenta detach HALFWAY and she was told that her baby only had a 50% chance of making it. She was very very careful and made it to 35 weeks before labor started naturally. Only surprise about that labor is that she had a boy instead of a girl like all her ultrasounds said!!

Hi, Congrats on the boy! I am having a boy too! Although, I was secretly wanting a girl. I will gladly take a healthy boy though. I have been busy buying things for the baby and the nursery. It makes it much easier to plan when you know the sex.

I am very sorry to hear about your placenta detatching. It is not something to take lightly. Don't work out or lift anything. I would even be careful about not reaching too high above your head. Just take it easy and you will be okay.

Have you bought anything since you found out that your having a boy??

Imhoping im having my lil girl and I think I may have a chance I feel different this time around we will c in a few months when I get my U/s!!!!
