11-10-2008 - Aviana [ 6 weeks ]

My mood while writing this blog: Feeling bad for my baby girl =(

Well I took Aviana to her doctor today. She had no fever or anything serious... just a little cold =(. Poor baby. It is my fault too because I was sick. I really tried hard not to get her sick but I guess it wasnt good enough. The doctor flushed out her nose with saline. It was horrible. He squeezed a little tube of saline into her nose and she was screaming her lungs out. It was so sad. It is really hard watching your baby go through something like that. Even though I know he wasnt hurting her and he was doing it to help her it was still so hard for me to watch. I would rather go through it. I felt like a lump in my throat, like I wanted to cry. He wants me to do it at home too... before I feed her. I dont know if I can do it.

We also switched her formula. She was drinking the blue can of Similac before. Now she is drinking Similac Sensitive [ the orange can ]. The doctor gave us 5 of the liquid bottles which was helpful. I hope she does better on this formula. It is for fussiness and gas so I think it will. I feel so bad for her when she cant poop and has so much gas. I love her so much.

She was weighed too! I cant believe she weighs 9 lbs. 7 oz. Thats unbelievable! I hope that isnt chubby for 6 weeks lol. Poor baby. She is so cute I wanna bite her little face lol. Anyways, I guess I will keep up writing every once in a while so she can have some memories when she is older since I didnt really write during my pregnancy. I regret that =/.

... So we just finished feeding her. She drank almost 5 oz. and uh, formula came out of her nose. That was scary... We are going back to the doctor on Monday for a recheck to make sure her little cold isnt getting worse so I will mention that. I think she just drank too much too fast. I love you Aviana =D.
